Healthy Recipes: Homemade Pesto

During the summer we grow different vegetables in our garden. And one of our favorites is basil.

This green, which is hard to consume in its raw way makes an amazing pesto sauce. During warm days of the summer, you may add a homemade pesto to your pasta and serve with a salad. It should be a fulfilling dinner both for your family and your guests.


½ water glass of pine nuts

4 water glasses of basil

½ water glass of Parmesan

1 clove of garlic

Salt – black pepper

½ water glass of olive oil


Inside a blender add the pine nuts, basil, cheese, garlic, salt and black pepper and mix.

Add the olive oil slowly to your mixture.

You may keep it in a closed can for three weeks in a fridge.
